Kanha – Morpankh Samraat

An action-adventure series based on the childhood days of Kanha, a young miraculous kid from Nandgaon who is loved by the people of his village for his mesmerizing aura and captivating nature. The series portrays not only his cheerful and mischievous antics which delighted the Nandwaashis, but also his dangerous encounters with the frightfully ferocious demons sent by his own maternal Uncle Kans.

 

The story is based in the humble village of Nandgaon – also known as the “village of gwalas”.
It is a story of a 10-year-old cowherd boy Kanha, who is wholly responsible for keeping Nandgaon in the spirit of joy with his divine presence. Whether it be playing pranks on the Gopis, breaking matkis to steal maakhan, using his wit and cleverness to solve the most complicated problems,or protecting the village and villagers from dangerous situations using his divine powers.

 

Far away in Mathura, Kans knows his kaal is residing in Nandgaon and sends many of his wicked demons to eliminate Kanha but they are all unsuccessful and Kanha remains undefeatable.

Kanha

Kanha is cute, soft-spoken and has a very soothing voice. He is so cute with his words and smile, that one can get totally mesmerised – especially when talking to Yashoda, Nand or Radha sometimes, however he is also naughty with some grownups like Maakhanlal. He’s confident, understanding, gentle, but when dealing with demons he showcasing immense power in his voice when he deals with demons. He has a good sense of humour. He is sometimes a ‘haazirjawab’ in a cute way.

Radha

Radha is the leader of the girl group. She is soft spoken, chulbuli, powerful, graceful and has leadership skills. She loves to sing and dance. She can easily control the boys with her voice. She is hard-working, just, commanding, gets angry but has equal amount of compassion and love. Radha and Kanha have a special bond - she cares for him, brings maakhan for him and sometimes can also be sarcastic with him.

Balram

Balram is the strong boy of the group whom everyone call Dau. He’s respectable and has a powerful voice that’s very commanding. Can even be a prankster. Unlike Kanha, he gets angry and can scold his friends for doing something wrong. He is like the big brother of the group, and everyone respects him.

Sudama

Sudama is Kanha’s biggest fan and closest friend. His talking style is like a pandit reciting mantras. He agrees to everything Kanha says – for him Kanha is always right. He is amazed by Kanha’s antics and talks with great excitement about Kanha. He does not like when someone argues with Kanha and is willing to do anything for him.

Vishakha

Vishakha is Radha’s closest friend and always suspects that the boys are up to no good. She has a very gossipy voice and seems to know inside information and keeps on giving local information to Radha.

Madhumangal

Madhumangal is the joker and the eternal eater of the group. He loves maakhan, loves and pranking other. He has a funny voice ad is often chuckling and munching on something.

Vasanta

Vasanta is the guy who is always suspicious, he questions everything - yeh kaise hua, voh kaise hua. He is curious and is the opposite of Sudama who believes in Kanha and everything he does. He tries to give a logical explanation to Kanha’s divine powers.

Nand

Nand is Kanha’s Father and the head of Nandgaon. He is loving, soft, patient, composed and has command over his words. People in the village come to him for solutions. Everybody listens to him; he is the decision-maker when it comes to Nandgaon affairs.

Yashoda

Yashoda is Kanha’s very graceful mother. She loves Kanha and Balram a lot and is the only one who calls Kanha – Lalla. When she gets angry with Kanha she punishes him like a typical mother. She tends to worry a lot about Kanha. The gaonwaals frequently visit her to complain about Kanha and she constantly ends up apologizing to all of them.

Maakhanlal

Maakhanlal is a shopkeeper, and the kids call him “Maakhan Kaka.” He calculates everything and protects his maakhan as if it were money. He does not like Kanha and his gang. He is always irritated, speaks with a scowl, is easy to fool is get easily excited – both happy and angry.

Kans

Kans is Kanha’s Maternal Uncle. He is a powerful personality and a booming voice and whenever he speaks things shake. He is commanding and mostly angry. He is always concerned about the future and thinking of different ways of killing his enemy so that he can survive. His immediate trusted companion is Chamchasur.

Chamchasur

Chamchasur is a full-on chamcha who spies for Kans. While he fears Kans, he is a bully for those weaker than him – his voice changes from pleading, begging in front of Kans to threatening in front of others. He has a slimy voice, giggles, and praises Kans falsely - crush the weak, grovel and suck up to the powerful is his mantra. He is very scared for his life. He transforms into various avatars - human, animal. He is a Maayavi Asur.
